Culling the herd
Got into a cleaning up mood today. Went through the paperback book case in the studio and pulled out around 200 books, both mine and S's. Mostly 70's and 80's SciFi, Fantasy, philosophy and history, with a few college text books thrown in. Then dropped them off at the library.
Cleared out most of the Moorcocks, Dicksons, Asimovs, Zelaznys, Peakes, MZBs, Hamblys, Rices, Ramseys, and Barkers. All my histories of Richelieu, and most of Napoleon.
Set aside some of the books we might actually re-read. Found several we'd forgotten about or misplaced.
Kept all Tolkien, Asprin, Gaiman, Pratchett, Pullman, May, Tanith Lee and select others.
Will probably do another sorting in the coming weeks.

I did a similar thing... kept the most important, jettisoned the items i know i won't re-read. Round two is ahead, after i have a chance to reevaluate the remains.
